We are curently shopping for a new furnace. Replacing a furnace is a big investment for us and we want to not only get the best deal but most importantly receive the best service as well. We got 3 proposals and Econo Air (refered by Costco)was the most priciest. We don't mind paying for a good quality product but I felt the service on the estimate was unprofessional. The comfort advisor wasn't thorough when giving us the proposal. We had a vent output issue (living room no output) and he said "replacing the furnace with a new one will cure our problem. He said he "thinks" it might be an airduct disconnected and to diagnose the problem, it will cost me extra to send a technicain to diagnose the problem. But he was pretty sure a new furnace will cure our vent issue. During our third estimate with another company, the advisor physically went up in our attic and promply diagnose the problem (at no extra cost). If we had agreed to move forward Econo Air's proposal, we would have ended up with an additional expense. Just a warning to other consumers, beware of added hidden costs from this company.

The agreement that we have with Costco is to provide homeowners a Free estimate for either replacing older equipment or cutting in for a new install. Costco does not offer Free Diagnostics in thier dealer relationship program. We would have gladly given the diagnostic and then waived the fee if we knew the consumer was ready to buy.
